Our Beliefs

red egg was founded in 1997 as an importer of antiques from all parts of Asia. What began as a true one-of-a-kind, vintage and antique business, evolved quickly into an accent-furniture and accessory company with products being bench made exclusively for us in Asia and the USA. red egg is known for being one of the first accent furniture companies to take classic Asian furniture and lacquer it with bold, fun colors. Carol Gregg, the founder, owner and Chief Hen of red egg describes their design philosophy as “creating Asian inspired pieces with an East meets West lifestyle sensibility. We use sophisticated but fun colors to recreate classic furniture so that it becomes something new and trend-forward. Our customers have come to depend on us to deliver well made products that are also fresh and interesting.”

red egg distributes nationwide and operates out of its office and showroom in High Point, North Carolina. While still sourcing and manufacturing our cane collections, Indochine , Moderne Maru, and Kaigan, in the Philippines, our focus for our wood product is to manufacture all of it here in the USA. Our entire Double HappinessShanghai Loft, and chang’e lamp collections are made in the USA. Our rattan product from the Philippines is finished in our signature low gloss lacquer colors in the USA.

red egg currently exhibits at the High Point International Home Furnishings Market. Interior Designers, Architects and Boutique Lifestyle Retailers have been our main customer focus throughout our 20 years in business. Our product can be purchased through the trade and on select websites.
